Country music performer Gretchen Wilson will be in Paris for the taping of an exhibition demolition derby next Monday night at the Henry County Fairgrounds.

The event is free to the public and will occur rain or shine. Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. and the demolition derby will begin at 8 p.m.

The event will feature Wilson and seven others experiencing the thrill of taking part in a demolition derby.

According to sources with the production, the seven “friends” will be chosen in a Friday auction at The Stage, a club in Nashville.

The seven highest bidders will then compete in the Paris derby. The last man standing — or rolling — wins a date with the country star.
